Emarat Sponsors Sharjah Police Campaign "Don't Make Your Car a Sitting Duck for Thieves"
Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat" is sponsoring the Sharjah Police General Directorate’s safety campaign under the title "Don't Make Your Car a Sitting Duck for Thieves", aiming to limit car theft and restrict the behaviors that tend to encourage such thefts through leaving the vehicle running and unattended.

Mr. Hussain Kazim, Manager, Corporate Communications at Emarat, praised the unique and fruitful efforts endeavored by Sharjah police and its initiatives launched to help vehicle drivers save their cars from theft or damage.

Mr. Kazim also commended the campaign carried out by Sharjah police, saying that it will definitely contribute in raising drivers' awareness about taking care of their cars and stopping others from tampering or stealing these cars due to small mistakes that can be easily prevented.

Emarat has distributed brochures and displayed posters of the campaign in a number of its service stations in Sharjah, within the Corporation's efforts to raise drivers' awareness and attract their attention to the importance of preventing their vehicles' theft by following some easy instructions.

The campaign provides a number of instructions and advice to drivers, including turning the vehicle completely off, locking the doors and windows, never leaving the vehicle ON and unattended for even a few seconds, as such things are considered mistakes that may encourage thieves to steal the idling car. Another advice is not to leave the keys inside the car after parking it, as this can also lead to its theft.
