Dubai Civil Aviation Authority Honors Emarat for its Support of DCAA's Programs and Activities
Dubai Civil Aviation Authority honored Emirates General Petroleum Corporation "Emarat", for its continuous support of several of DCAA's programs, activities and events. This honoring took place during the special ceremony that was held for the launch of the English version of the book that chronicles the history and future of the aviation sector in Dubai, under the title "Civil Aviation in Dubai, the Establishment and the Future 1937-2020".

His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, honored Mr. Salem Ahmed Bin Suloom, Manager Aviation Sales,at Emarat, who represented the Corporation. Other companies that participated in publishing the book were also honored in the presence of Engineer Khalifa Al Zafeen, the CEO of Dubai Aviation City, and Mr. Jamal Al Hai, the senior executive deputy for international affairs and communication in Dubai Airports, in addition to other presidents of companies and high officials of the private and public sectors.

Mr. Abdulrahman Qassim Al Ali, Commercial Sales Manager at Emarat, praised the strong cooperation bonds that tie the Corporation with DCAA and the Dubai Airports and Dubai Airports Company (DAC). Mr. Al Ali pointed out the numerous agreements between the two parties, the last of which was a franchise agreement which was entered by "Emojet" for air fuel supply and DAC. In accordance with this agreement, Emojet will be one of the fuel suppliers to the newAl Maktoum International Airport, at Dubai World Central.

The author of the book, Ghassan Amhaz, expressed his gratitude to HH Sheikh Ahmad bin Saeed for his support and wise instructions which helped in realizing this huge project. Mr. Amhaz said "The more I delved into the references and documents related to the history of civil aviation in Dubai, the more I became aware of the secret behind Dubai's success while others failes. I also became aware of the importance of being unique in decision making, for this is the factor that enabled the aviation sector in this emirate to achieve what it has so far."
